  • Welding of 780 N/mm2 class high tensile strength steel for penstocks, pressure vessels, and machinery
  • Low alloy steels typically welded with N-11018-M include HY-80, HY-100 and T-1 steels
  • Dry the electrodes at 350-400C for about one hour before use
  • Store the electrodes at 100-150C after drying to keep away from moisture
  • Adopt back step method or strike the arc on a small steel plate to prevent blowholes at the arc starting
  • Keep the arc as short as possible
  • Pre-heat at 100-150C
