Description
  • N-NiCrFe-3 is a general purpose nickel-chromium-iron electrode used for joining many dissimilar combinations of nickel base alloys, of the nickel chromium type, to themselves or to stainless or mild steels
  • Consistently produces X-ray quality and machinable weld deposits
  • Excellent for welding Inconel® 600 to itself or to carbon steel and stainless steels; or high chromium Incoloy® 800 to nickel-copper Monel® 400 or nickel base alloy 200
  • Used for joining nickel base alloy 200 to stainless steel and nickel-copper Monel® 400 to carbon steel

NOTE:

The information contained or otherwise referenced herein is presented only as “typical” without guarantee or warranty, and Industrial Welding Corporation expressly disclaims any liability incurred from any reliance thereon. Typical data and test results for mechanical properties, deposit, or electrode composition and other properties were obtained from a weld produced and tested according to prescribed standards and should not be assumed to be the expected results in a particular application or weldment. Actual results will vary depending on many factors, including, but not limited to, weld procedure, plate chemistry and temperature, weldment design, and fabrication methods. Users are cautioned to confirm by qualification testing, or other appropriate means, the suitability of any welding consumable and procedure before use in the intended application.

  • Chemical, petrochemical, and nuclear industries where welding dissimilar joints between vessesl and primary piping are performed
  • Welding the clad side of nickel-chromium clad steel and for re-surfacing steel
  • Preheating is not necessary
  • Avoid continuous welding
  • Effective to weld under 150ºC for reduced cracking tendency
  • Dry the electrodes at 150 - 200ºC for 30 - 60 minutes before use
