I. APPLICATIONS:

Welding of cupro-nickel clad steel. Build-up welding carbon steel. Welding of similar and dissimilar metals such as various copper alloys.

      II. DESCRIPTION:

N-CuNi is a DC arc welding electrode which gives 70% Cu-30% Ni Cupro-nickel. The weld metal shows good corrosion resistant fatigue. Therefore it is suitable for joining and build-up welding of heat exchangers, distillers, chemical industry equipments and etc.

     III. NOTES ON USAGE:

  • Use DC reverse polarity (DC+) current.

  • Preheating is not necessary and avoid continuous welding, keep the interpass temperature under 100ºC.

  • The arc length should be short as possible and adopt straight bead method.

  • It is necessary no to use excessive current in order to prevent the dilution from base metal for build-up welding of carbon steel.

  • Dry the electrodes at 200-250ºC for 30-60 minutes before use.
