I. APPLICATIONS:

Applications for N-CuAl-A2 include: building up bearing surface, joining and fabricating copper alloys, overlaying for resistance to corrosion and erosion and general maintenance and repair welding such as:

II. DESCRIPTION:

N-CuAl-A2 aluminum bronze is the most versatile welding electrode in this family of alloys.

N-CuAl-A2 contains an additive to inhibit inter-granular stress corrosion cracking. This is particularly important when welding on C61300 and C61400 base metal.

N-CuAl-A2 will weld and join many ferrous and nonferrous metals and combinations of dissimilar metals. These metals include the more weldable grades of cast iron, high and low carbon steels, copper, bronzes and copper-nickel alloys.

     III. NOTES ON USAGE:

 

  • Preheat at 250~300ºC is increasing in the case of welding of brass.

  • The interlayer temperatures varies in accordance with the preheat temperatures.

  • Keep the arc length as short as possible and don’t use too much weaving.
