I. APPLICATIONS:

For  build-up repairing of various cast iron.  Specially repairing of cast iron changed in quality.

     II. DESCRIPTION:

NC-60V is an iron type electrode for cold welding.  The weld metal matches the color of base metal and its fusibility with case iron is good. 

As the weld metal contains special element, in spite of an iron type weld metal, it can be machined by cutting tool easily and is not sensitive to cracking.  Therefore, it is cheaper than other nickel type electrodes.

III. NOTES ON USAGE:

  • It is not necessary preheating and postheating in general, Satisfactory results are obtained by about 100ºC preheating which varies in accordance with kind, shape and size of base metal.

  • Dry the electrodes at 200-250ºC for 30-60 minutes before use.
