NIHONWELD NC-10
AWS Specification: Est
JIS Specification:

DFC Fe

Other Specification:

I. APPLICATIONS:

NC-10 is used especially on poorly weldable cast iron such as burnt and bad castings and for buffering the sides of the seam. It is also suited for wear resistant build up on solid castings.

II. DESCRIPTION:

NC-10 is a economical welding electrode for welding cast iron parts when machining is unnecessary. The welded joint can be grinded. It has good color matching, penetration and excellent weldability.

III. NOTES ON USAGE:

Bare the welding zone. With thick-walled workpieces it is advisable to use NFG for grooving-out. Select the lowest amperage possible. With short arc guide the electrode steeply, buffer thin passes with NC-10. Weld the filling passes with NC-100 or NC-50. If the surface of the welded joint must be machinable, it is advisable to weld the cover passes with NC-100 or NC-50.

TEST RESULT

The information contained or otherwise referenced herein is presented only as “typical” without guarantee or warranty, and Industrial Welding Corporation expressly disclaims any liability incurred from any reliance thereon. Typical data and Test results for mechanical properties, deposit or electrode composition and other properties were obtained from a weld produced and tested according to prescribed standards, and should not be assumed to be the expected results in a particular application or weldment. Actual results will vary depending on many factors, including, but not limited to, weld procedure, plate chemistry and temperature, weldment design and fabrication methods. Users are cautioned to confirm by qualification testing, or other appropriate means, the suitability of any welding consumable and procedure before use in the intended application.
