 I. APPLICATIONS:

Hard surfacing of pump casings, cutter knives and pump impellers, etc.

II. DESCRIPTION:

The deposited metal of NHF-700 is martensitic structure which contains C, Cr and Mo. It has high hardness, so it is suitable for intense soil abrasion. The deposited metal is not machinable as welded condition.

III. NOTES ON USAGE:

  • Preheat at 150ºC and over in general.

  • It is recommended to underlay with low hydrogen type electrodes (N-7016 or N-7018), in case the base metal is very hardenable or multi-layer welding is required.

  • Postheat at 500-600ºC and slow cooling are recommended.

  • Dry the electrodes at 200-250ºC for 30-60 minutes before use.
